Here is the ugly truth, according to an economics professors at the University of Texas and Michigan State University; plain people earn 5% - 10% less than people of average looks, who in turn earn 3% - 8% less than those deemed good-looking.

Therefore, being homely can hinder your job search.

Good-looking men and women are typically judged to be more talented, kind, honest and intelligent than their less attractive counterparts.

Controlled studies show that people go out of their way to help attractive people -- of the same and opposite sex -- because they want to be liked and accepted by good-looking people.

How Do You Know If Your Universally Attractive? 

Generally in most countries, people who are considered have these characteristics alike:

• Clear light skin
• Big eyes
• Straight white teeth
• Plump soft Lips
• Defined Cheek Bones
• Small nose
• Long hair
• Hip-Waist Ratio

Most of the items listed above you cannot cantrol because it is genetic. Here are a few more factors for attractiveness that are under your control:

• Good Hygeine
• Attitude
• Familiarity
• Body Language
• Confidence
• Physically affectionate
• Communication skills 

Attractiveness is judged within the first few minutes of meeting someone. However, it is mostly subconscience so we are not aware that we are judging them on how atttractive they are.

We also know that attractiveness increases the longer we know someone. Research shows that a familiar face is always ranked as more attractive than the same face we do not recognize.

Physical looks matter more to men than they do to women. Generally, women look at a man's height more than his facial attrativeness. Men, on the other hand, will look at a woman who is attractive in the face as well as the body.
